A huge thanks to our great fiends at Awabakal for hosting a fantastic event that bought community together in a strong spirit of connection, culture and pride. This week, Biraban LALC’s Cultural Heritage team proudly linked up with Heritage Now to embark on a Cultural Heritage dig along the shores of Lake Macquarie at Toronto. Over the course of the week, the team has been working together on Country to investigate, document, and protect cultural heritage, strengthening connections to place while ensuring important cultural knowledge is respected and preserved.
